Martin joined the GNP in 1998, having formerly been Deputy Leader of Nottinghamshire County Council. He originally trained as an industrial chemist, working on both transfer printing and textiles.

 

Martin's interest in economic development was sparked during his time at the County Council, where he served on the City Challenge Board, Greater Nottingham TEC and a variety of regeneration initiatives. Prior to his appointment at the GNP, he undertook an MSc in Urban Regeneration at Sheffield Hallam University.

Cheryl is responsible for the overall management of the GNP's finances and operations. The heart of GNP, she controls the company's budget and authorises the payment of funding claims.

 

Cheryl joined the GNP in April 2007.

Sarah is responsible for managing the GNP's Physical Regeneration and Transport Strategy Action Teams, as well as managing the GNP's £31m allocation of European funding from the East Midlands Objective 2 programme.

 

Formerly a Senior European Officer with Nottingham City Council, she has worked for the GNP since 2003.

Mike is responsible for managing the GNP's Business, Innovation & Growth and Tourism, Leisure & Culture Strategy Action Teams. He also coordinates the development of the GNP's annual Sub-regional Investment Plan.

 

Born and raised in Leicester, Mike was educated at Loughborough Grammar School and read history at the Universities of London and Oxford. He joined the GNP in 2004.

 

In addition to his work for the GNP, Mike is also the Vice Chair of Rural Community Action Nottinghamshire (formerly the Nottinghamshire Rural Community Council).
