GNP Sub-regional Investment Plan
Following the publication of the revised Regional Economic Strategy, A Flourishing Region, in the summer of 2006, the East Midlands Development Agency (emda) requested that each of the seven East Midlands Sub-regional Strategic Partnerships (SSPs) produce an annual three-year Sub-regional Investment Plan (SRIP). The aim of the SRIP is to outline to all stakeholders and partners the key strategic objectives that each SSP will seek to address over the proceeding three-year financial period, as well as highlighting the types of economic activity that they will look to develop and support within each of their sub-regions. The primary objective of this planning process is to ensure:
As the SSP responsible for delivering the Single Programme funded elements of the Regional Economic Strategy at a local level within Greater Nottingham, the GNP SRIP outlines how the GNP intends to invest its devolved Single Programme funding allocation in order to deliver measurable economic development across the sub-region. Having already prepared comprehensive SRIPs for the 2007-10 period, last year emda requested that SSPs 'refresh' rather than 'rewrite' these documents for the 2008-11 period. The intention was for SSPs to produce a short, ten-page document outlining any significant changes to their previous SRIPs, with additional annexes providing detailed programme and project information for the 2008-09 financial year. Attached below is the final version of the GNP's 2008-11 SRIP that was approved by the emda Board in November 2007, which is available to download in Word format, along with a copy of the GNP's previous 2007-10 SRIP.
