Since 2004, Nottingham Development Enterprise has run the highly successful OnCourse Innovation programme for Greater Nottingham businesses.
 
The programme offers ideas and inspiration for budding innovators through a series of masterclass events, where successful innovation leaders share their experiences on what businesses need to be creative and succeed.
 
In addition, the programme also aims to:
 
  • Celebrate local innovation success stories.
  • Create a repository of innovation case studies, learning tools and good practice.
  • Foster a local culture of innovation through the building of networks of like-minded people.
  • Link innovators to further sources of help.
 
To date, OnCourse Innovation has run 14 workshops attended by over 300 local businesses, with a further four events planned between September 2008 and March 2009.
 
To help deliver the OnCourse Innovation programme, the GNP will provide £11,750 of funding to NDE.
