The GNP Board
The Greater Nottingham Partnership is a Company Limited by Guarantee and was incorporated by Articles of Association in December 2001.
The GNP Board consists of fifteen directors drawn from across the public, private, local authority and voluntary and community sectors. This includes four business sector representatives; four public sector representatives; four voluntary and community sector representatives; two local authority sector representatives; and an independent chair appointed by the business community.

Full details of the rotation and renewal of directors, their terms of office, declarations of interest and their removal from office are set out in the GNP’s Articles of Association, which are available to download below.
The GNP Board meets on a six-weekly basis to direct strategy; ensure compliance with the values and objectives of GNP; develop plans and policies; approve the GNP’s budget and accounts; and monitor its overall performance.
In the spirit of openess, the GNP will provide copies of its non-commercially senstive Board papers for public viewing. Past and present papers are available to download on the GNP Board Papers category of the news section.
The GNP Board currently possesses three sub-committees. These are:
- An Appointments and Remuneration Committee to oversee staff appraisals and pay increments
- An Audit Committee to oversee financial operations
- A Diversity Committee to oversee and ensure the equality of opportunities
In addition to the fifiteen directors, observers are also invited to attend GNP Board meetings to report back to their respective organisations on current developments. Present observers to the GNP Board include representatives from Government Office East Midlands, the East Midlands Development Agency, the Nottinghamshire Fire Service and the local District Councils.
